5 alternatives of petroleum products

1. Cooking oil/grease:
The by-product of much of home and restaurant cooking can be turned into bio-diesel. It is capable to run any vehicle which takes diesel fuel. It consists of trucks, buses and some passenger taxi.

2. Human and animal waste:
Human and animal wastes can be used as renewable energy. In fact, a soon-to-open recycling facility in England specializes in this process

3. Tires:
According to the U.S. EPA, 45 % of disposed tires can be used as tire-derived fuel. This fuel is used to run cement kilns, paper mills and many other manufacturing plants.

4. Packing peanuts:
People may know these peanuts by the Dow brand name Styrofoam. Packing peanuts can be dissolved and converted into bio-diesel.

5. Coffee grounds:

Coffee grounds have a significant disposal use outside of the manure pile which can be transformed into bio-diesel.
